Carlo Perego, Director of the Centre for Renewable Energy and Environmental R&D (Eni SpA, Istituto Donegani, Novara), has been carrying out research in heterogeneous catalysis in chemical and oil companies for nearly 35 years. He has worked on different aspects of acid-base and redox catalysis with the aim to developed catalysts that are being used commercially in industrial processes. Carlo received the Laurea in Industrial Chemistry in 1978 from the State University of Milan and a Post-Degree Specialization Certificate in R&D Management at the Bocconi University of Milan. He started working in catalysis during his laurea thesis, with pioneering experiments on the insertion of CO2 in butadiene catalyzed by Pd(0) complexes. Those researches draw the attention of Montedipe SpA , the petrochemical company of Montedison Group, the largest Italian chemical company. So Carlo was hired at the R&D Center of Montedipe in Bollate, when he began his professional career in industrial research and development (1980). During the stay in Montedipe, Carlo contributed to the optimization of several catalytic processes, including the phenol and styrene processes. After Montedipe, Carlo worked as pilot plant manager in a small chemical company (3V Sigma, 1989). This experience allowed him to build-up an important know-how in process technology and to improve his knowledge of chemical plants design and management. Then Carlo went back to research activities: he moved to Eniricerche, the R&D Corporate Company of the Eni Group (1990), as Group Leader for Catalytic Processes and Catalyst Preparation. He was then appointed Manager of the Physical Chemistry Department and in 2005 he became Manager of the R&D Process Technology Department in Eni Refining and Marketing Division. In January 2007 he was given the responsibility of creating and organizing a new R&D group focused on renewable energy and environmental technologies. Since 2008 he is Senior Vice President of Eni Renewable Energy and Environmental R&D Center (Novara, Italy), coordinating the activity of more than 100 researchers on project involving solar, biomass and environmental technologies. Among the industrial achievements, particularly relevant is the development of the innovative processes for the production of cumene and ethylbenzene, based on zeolitic catalysts, which allowed the replacement of the conventional catalysts based on mineral acids. More recently, Carlo contributed to the development of the eni/UOP EcofiningTM process for the production of high quality greendiesel from triglycerides. Carlo also contributed to the design of the EST (Eni Slurry Technology) process, the Eni proprietary technology for the conversion of heavy refinery residue, based on a slurry-phase reactor, with nano-dispersed catalyst. The professional career of Carlo Perego has been focused on applied catalysis and on the development of industrial catalytic processes. Nevertheless, his scientific contribution in the field of industrial chemistry and particularly of heterogeneous catalysis has also been relevant. Carlo is inventor of 58 patents, but at the same time he has also published 75 peer-reviewed papers and he has given more than 90 conference presentations, including 22 invited lectures; which are significant numbers for an industrial researcher.

His Research interest is mainly focused on in Heterogeneous catalysis in the field of Chemical and Oil Industries.

Vitaly Koltover is Head Researcher (Principal Investigator) at Department of Kinetics and Catalysis, Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics, the premier organization of Russian Academy of Sciences, Chernogolovka, Moscow Region, Russia. He holds PhD degree in Physics (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Physics), and SciD degree in Biology (Doctor of Biological Sciences, Biophysics. Published more than 250 papers including books, conference proceedings and papers in the representative journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. As invited scientist, he worked in Austria (Vienna), Germany (Rostock, Freiburg), India (Chennai, Mumbai), Israel (Beer Sheva) and USA (National Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern University). Plenary and oral presentations at the scientific meetings in Russia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Greece, Italy, Israel, Japan, Ukraine and USA.

His main research interests are magnetic isotope effects and nuclear spin catalysis in biology, chemical nano-bionics, reliability (robustness) and aging of biological systems.

Dr. A.M.Al Taweel graduated Ph.d in Chemical Engineering from University of Colorado. He is working as an Adjunct Profeesor in Dalhousie University from 2005, and he is also the President of AlphaTau Ltd from 2004. He is a consultant to 30 organizations. He is one of the Editorial Board members in 9 Associations like Journal of Chemical and Process Engineering, Chemical Process and Product Modeling Journal etc,. He is a recipient of numerous honorary awards. He has got 1 patent,3 book contributors, 91 published journals, 63 conference presentations, and 64 technical reports. He has supervised 23 PhD and 25 Master students. Currently he is supervising 1 PhD student, 3 Master students and 1 visiting scientist.

His Research Interest are as follows, 1.Development of effective physical and biological units that can be used for water/ wastewater treatment operations (including produced water), and bioreactor 2. Management of energy production and utilization with the objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 3.Industrial ecology and pollution prevention, Utilization of agricultural and food processing wastes, gasification. 4.Coal processing and beneficiation with the objective of reducing emissions.

Professor Ahmet Erdal OSMANLIOGLU received the B.Sc. degree in Mining Engineering, the M.Sc. in soil mechanics and the Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Hacettepe University, in 1990, 1992 and 1996, respectively. He started to work as a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University in Ankara. He joined the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority in 1993 as a Research Engineer. He has worked as Coordinator, Deputy Director and Director General of the National Nuclear Center in Istanbul. Since 2015, he has worked as Professor (full) and Deputy Head of the Department at Istanbul University. He has received education in Nuclear Plant Safety at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, Boston MA USA; Radioactive Materials & Waste Packaging Transportation and Disposal at NRC Phoenix, Arizona; Radioactive Waste Management Predisposal/Disposal Technologies at RADON, Moskova. He is a co-author of more than 100 papers and the author of a book. He has worked as a Waste Safety Committee (WASSC) Member (2003 -2004) at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria and he has worked as a Radioactive Waste Management Committee (RWMC) Member at OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) (2007 - 2016), Issy-les-Moulineaux, France. He has been involved European Community projects and IAEA projects as a senior expert and lecturer. He has managed more than 10 national and international projects as a project leader. He is especially interested in the diffusion of radionuclides into natural and engineered barrier materials, characterization, and applications of materials in the areas of environmental protection and nuclear materials. He has received an award for his research in 2017 at an international conference. He has organized two International Congress of Local Development and Finance in Istanbul Turkey in 2016 and 2017. He is editor of four international conference proceeding books.

He is especially interested in the nuclear materials, diffusion of radionuclides into natural and engineered barrier materials, exploration and characterization of nuclear raw materials, applications of scientific techniques in the areas of nuclear science, mining engineering and environmental protection.

Dr. Purushottam Chakraborty is currently an Adjunct Professor of Physics in University of Pretoria, South Africa. Before this he was a professor in Saha institute of nuclear physics, Kolkata, India. He finished his PhD in 1984 in university of Calcutta, India. He worked as a Visiting Professor, Visiting Scientist in 10 coutries. He is a recipient of various awards including “Most Eminent Mass Spectrometrist of India” - awarded by the Indian Society for Mass Spectrometry in 2003. He has been invited from many universities from various countries to deliver his lectures. He has participated and delivered his talks in 130 conferences and chaired many sessions at national and international conferences across the globe. He has published more than 160 scientific papers including reviews, monographs and invited book chapters. He is one of the editorial board members in Journal of physics-Conference series (IOP publications, UK). He has also edited a booked named Ion beam analysis of surfaces and interface of condensed matter systems-Nova Science, New York, USA (2002).

Ibtisam Kamal is professor of process engineering, and vice dean for scientific affairs at Soran University, Kurdistan Region- Iraq. She received her BSc in 1975, MSc in 1982 from Basrah University-Iraq. In 1983 she got a position of assistant lecturer in chemical engineering department, faculty of engineering, Basrah University. She received her PhD degree in Polymer Technology from Basrah University in 1991. She got her full professor degree in 2001, and held the position of head of chemical engineering department for seven academic years (1997-2003), she established for the first time the post-graduate studies in chemical engineering department and supervised 15 PhD and MSc thesis in chemical and civil engineering, she worked also as consultant and member of administrative board in industrial sectors including the Iraqi state company of petrochemical industries. She has been awarded the annual Iraqi national award for Iraqi experts and scientists for three academic years. After 20 years academic work in Basrah University, she transferred her services to Baghdad University and worked in Alkwarizmi engineering faculty as professor in biochemical engineering department. She got a sabbatical leave to University of La Rochelle, France (Laboratory of Engineering Science for Environment LaSIE FRE-CNRS 3474), she conducted her postdoctoral studies, then received her HDR degree in Process Engineering from La Rochelle University- France. She worked at La Rochelle University, contributed in teaching and supervision of post graduate studies as well as in planning and preparing European projects. In 2012 she returned back to Iraq and worked as professor in Soran University-Kurdistan region, she held the positions of head of school of engineering, head of chemical engineering department and vice dean for scientific affairs of faculty of engineering. Prof. Ibtisam Kamal research activity is documented by more than 130 scientific peer-reviewed papers, and 2 patents, she has participated as keynote speaker and delegate in dozens of national and international conferences, she has been also serving as member of editorial board of some international journals. Her main research interest has focused on simulation of the production processes of petroleum and petrochemical products, and modeling and optimization of treatment, extraction and transformation of renewable resources to biofuels.

Rakesh Kumar Sharma is the Dean of Research and Development at IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan. His current research group works on development of new catalyst for sustainable chemistry and energy that focuses on understanding what makes catalysis works. He had received Best Faculty Award-2014 , his fellowships includes National Eligibility Test-2002 conducted by council of CSIR, New Delhi and Rural talent search fellowship in 1988.He recieved his Ph.D in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on 2006.He has published 41 international Journals on catalysis and water technology. He holds 8 patent rights and he is currently working on five international government Projects.

M. R. Riazi is a Professor and former Head of Chemical Engineering at Kuwait University. He was previously a faculty member of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at various universities in US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. He has published 140 journals and 6 books on Petroleum and Biofuel properties and Processing Technology. He is the founding editor and editor in chief of IJOGCT (London, UK) and an editor of Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering (Elsevier). He received a Diploma of Honor from the United States Petroleum Engineering Society for outstanding services to the industry. He is an elected Fellow of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, Canada (P.Eng.).

Prof. Dr. Alireza Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Full Professor and Academic Tenure of Chemistry at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. He has got his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. Dr. Rehab O. Abdel Rahman is an Associate Professor of Chemical Nuclear Engineering at the Radioactive Waste Management Department, Hot Laboratories &Waste Management Center, Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt. She received her Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering, Faculty of engineering Alexandria university, Alexandria, Egypt. Her research interests cover different aspects in radioactive waste management, including both predisposal and disposal activities. She co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 7 book chapters, and 1 book, and edited 6 books. She contributed in teaching and supervising post graduate research in chemistry, petrochemical and environmental-chemical engineering departments. She serves as a verified reviewer in several international journals, member of organizing committees of international conferences, managing editor in IJEWM, and IJEE (Inderscience). Dr Rehab is an honored scientist of ASRT and of Publons sentinel of science 2016 and peer-review awards in 2017. She is nominated as a member of IBC top engineers.

Her Research interest are as follows, To Develop and apply different flow and transport models to support safety assessments of radioactive waste management facilitates/processes. Assess and evaluate different natural and synthetic materials for their potential application in treatment, decontamination, and remediation activities. Design of experiment to optimize different potential materials for their application in radioactive waste management. Asses and evaluate binding and leaching mechanisms in immobilization matrices.

Dr. T. Theivasanthi's research interest is mainly focused on nano-materials and nanotechnology.

Dr. Arkan Jasim Hadi is an academic staff, researcher and head of chemical engineering department currently working with the Faculty of Engineering, Soran University in Kurdistan region in Iraq since October 2016. He finished his post-doctoral in University Malaysia Pahang in 23 of August 2016. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, Tikrit University, Tikrit, Iraq in 1995 and 2005 respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Chemical and Natural Resource Engineering, University Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia in March 2013. He served as an engineer in petroleum industries from 1995-2006, and also served as Seiner Lecturer and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, College of Engineering, Tikrit University, Tikrit, Iraq from 2006 to 2015. His research interest is focussed on Thermodynamics, separation process and area such as Polymer Recycling, polymer nanocomposites, phase equilibrium, Mathematical Modelling.

Dr. Juan Garcia Rodriguez is Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering at the Complutense University. He graduated in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Extremadura in 1996 and obtained his PhD from this University in 2000. He spent postdoctoral stays at the Universidade do Porto (Portugal), University of Bath (England), Concepcion University (Chile) and Polytechnic Institute of Braganca (Portugal). He became Associate Professor in 2009 at the Complutense University of Madrid and promoted as Full Professor Acreditation in 2013. He is co-author of more than 100 papers and book chapters (h- index 26), and has supervised 5 PhD students (more three in progress). He was recognized as Highly Cited Researcher by ACS in 2006-2010. His research interests include the design of a wide range of materials, including carbon materials, mesoporous materials and metal-containing nanoparticles. He is especially interested in the synthesis, characterization and applications of different forms of carbon materials in the areas of environmental protection. He has received two awards for his research including APDF "Celestino da Costa/Jean Perrin" being part of the FEUP research team for your contributions in the synthesis and applications of multiwalled carbon nanotubes as well as the IWA prize for innovation in the practical realisation of sustainable urban water management for the Consolider Tragua Program.

He is especially interested in the synthesis, characterization and applications of different forms of carbon materials in the areas of environmental protection.
